Background
Came in new to structured lifting and nutrition tracking, focused on aesthetics and flexibility for pole. Hadn't yet tested what her body could actually build.
Goal
To finally see the muscle she has worked so hard to build by cutting body fat further, while continuing to get stronger and progress in calisthenics toward a free-standing handstand.
Training
- Phase 1: 4 days of physique-focused lifting paired with mobility work to support flexibility for pole.
- Phase 2: 4 days of structured strength training combined with zone 2 stair climber cardio, progressively pushing weight on the main compounds. Phase 3: 3 days of lower-body biased lifting alongside 2 days of calisthenics, building up to 15 unbroken pull-ups, weighted pull-ups, and handstand progressions.
Nutrition
- Whole food focused meals built around chicken breast, salmon, eggs, Greek yogurt, avocado, and batch-prepped portions of vegetables and whole grains.
- Leaned on prepared meal delivery for structure during the cut.
- Creative low-calorie treats like frozen grapes with tahini and lemon juice kept cravings in check. Alcohol cut down to 1 to 2 drinks on occasional social nights.
"I’ve asked guys next to me if I can use the bar, and they look at me like, oh, she's gonna do a pull-up. Then I do 15 and they're like, what?"
