The Role

We are looking for DEXA technicians to join our team to provide a top-class scan experience for our members. You’ll be working directly with our analysts and General Managers to provide the key data points for our analysts to transform the health of thousands. Based on performance, there may be opportunities to expand into sales, coaching, or operational leadership roles.

At Kalos, You Will:

  • Perform full body DEXA scans and guide members through a seamless experience from start to finish
  • Work in our storefront locations, delivering consistent, high quality scans
  • Deliver DEXA reports to clients and internal analysts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of scan data
  • Handle administrative tasks
  • Additional scope available based on performance

Requirements

  • California State LBDT License
  • We are looking for someone to work a Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday shift from 7:30am - 4:00pm on a consistent basis. 
  • At least one weekend day is mandatory
  • Be able to work in person from either our San Jose location or San Francisco location

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $35.58/hr ($74,000 annualized at 40hrs/week)
  • Performance Bonus: $500/month
  • Total Cash Compensation: Starting at $80,000
  • One-Time Signing Bonus: $2,000 for the first two techs hired in this class (still available!)
  • Overtime: Paid at 1.5× hourly rate ($53.37/hour) in accordance with California law
  • Technicians may have opportunities to work additional hours based on demand
  • For example, working ~8 overtime hours per week consistently would increase total annual compensation to ~$102,000

Compensation at Kalos for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.

Kalos pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
