Harsh is able to give such targeted and useful feedback on my body and needs through this innovative program that combines a data-driven approach with personalized fitness goals. The DEXA scan was super cool! I've never had something like that done before.
Incredibly professional & knowledgeable team here led by Harsh. First time getting a DEXA scan and I’m excited about a science-backed way to improve my health
I’ve been getting DEXA scans for a while, and this experience was exactly what I’ve been missing: spot-on coaching to help me understand my scan results and create a plan for building muscle. I met the CEO, and he personally crafted me an exercise plan that I will try for the next month then come back. Love it!
Got my Dexa scan and learned so much about my body and how I can improve my health moving forward! Harsh was super kind and thorough when explaining what each number meant. Would definitely come back to keep tabs on the progression of my health!
I’ve been working out for 20+ years (and some of that time with a trainer). Using the data and insights from KALOS I’m learning so much more about my body / health than I have this entire time. Scheduling has been easy, location is great, and Harsh has been very knowledgeable. Great experience so far!

Your Top Questions Answered: What to Know Before Booking a DEXA Scan in San Francisco
A DEXA scan is the world’s most accurate way of measuring body composition. It measures the exact amount of muscle, fat, and bone in your body. It has been used in healthcare settings since the 70s, but has exploded in popularity over the past 5 years within the longevity community.
Your appointment will take roughly 30 minutes. 6 minutes for the scan, 15 minutes to chat about your results, and 10 minutes to chat about how you should be eating and exercising to improve your results.
For the most accurate scan results, wear form-fitting, lightweight athletic clothing—such as compression shorts, leggings, and a fitted t-shirt or sports bra. Avoid any clothing with metal, including zippers, underwire bras, or metal logos, as these can interfere with the scan. You will also need to remove jewelry, belts, and watches before the scan.

No. Kalos offers DEXA scans for body composition analysis only. Our scans measure fat mass, lean mass, and bone density distribution to help you track fitness and wellness goals. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, or monitor medical conditions. For diagnostic DEXA scans (e.g., osteoporosis screening), please consult your healthcare provider. That said, our scans do include bone density data, including T-scores and Z-scores. While we do not provide a medical diagnosis, these scores can indicate whether your bone density falls within the range associated with osteoporosis or osteopenia. This information can be a valuable starting point for discussing bone health with your doctor.
